vitamindI cannot say it enough, get tested for vitamin D deficiency. Why? Because it is an important vitamin, more important than previously thought.

Since my Vitamin D intake has increased to 4000 i.u. per day, my blood pressure has decreased significantly. Now I must watch for too low blood pressure. I also feel great.

Many reports and scientific studies have been conducted on the importance of Vitamin D and now, in the journal of Clinical Endocrinology, scientists from the Netherlands, Austria, and the U.S. are reporting that “low blood levels of the sunshine vitamin are associated with increased risk of all-cause mortality, and mortality from heart disease, in the elderly.” This follows behind another study published in Nutrition Research and in the Archives of Internal Medicine

That’s not all. “Vitamin D may also protect against cancer, infections, autoimmune and vascular diseases, suggesting vitamin D deficiency might contribute to a reduced life expectancy.”

[Researchers] noted that several biologic mechanisms could explain a causal relationship between vitamin D deficiency and mortality, with the vitamin’s active form (1,25-dihydroxyvitamin D) linked to a range of effects including control of inflammatory compounds, regulating immune health and blood pressure, or reducing arterial hardening.

Live longer, healthier lives and protect your heart with vitamin D.
