                  Arise Magazine
was launched 2 years ago by MacArthur Flournoy and his partner
Glenn Alexander.  Arise Magazine was born out of a need to
challenge us to reexamine what we think we know, and to raise
the stakes a little higher and pursue a dream that almost
seems beyond our reach, much like Zuna Institute.  Francine
Ramsey, Executive Director of Zuna Institute said,  “Arise was
the logical choice as our media sponsors.  They are the
premier magazine of African descent dedicated to the overall
well being of their readers, which are the lesbian, gay,
bisexual, transgender, and same-gender-loving community. Glenn
and MacArthur understand the need to bridge the gap between
                  our gay brothers and sisters.
Arise Magazine will host the Friday night
reception at the Radisson Hotel giving attendees the
opportunity to network and experience what promises to be an
                  exciting and informative conference.
