Karen Williams
50-city comedy tour from
April 2003 to November 2003

Dear Friends and Colleagues,

I am in the process of booking a 50-city comedy tour from April 2003 to November 2003 to celebrate my 20 years of performing stand-up. The tour will be entitled "The Karen Williams Comic SuperBITCH Tour" for the brave and for the more artistic group, "Karen Williams: Take It Personal"...either way, I need your help in locating producers and venues. Kindly contact me to let me know if you are interested in working with me, or if you have contacts that you can refer to me. It's best to contact me by e-mail, preferably at this address. I've included my bio that you can feel free to print out and share with prospects. Thanks for your caring and sharing...

Have a wonderful holiday season, and a great new year!

Peace and much love,

Karen

Brief Biography
KAREN WILLIAMS

COMIC * ACTOR * WRITER * LECTURER

Curve Magazine calls Karen Williams
"...a laugh riot!" The Sydney Morning Herald proclaims that Karen Williams is "ferociously funny, with perfect pace, timing and structure."

Known for her quick repartee, insightful commentary, and audience rapport, Williams is a comic craftmaster, a gifted actor, a multitalented writer, and an inspirational lecturer. Armed with her "healing with humor" philosophy, she is a modern-day alchemist, whose audiences appreciate her cathartic laughter, and whose peers consider her a comic's comic!

As a solo entertainer, Karen Williams delights SRO audiences from San Francisco to South Beach to Sydney. Featured in the internationally-acclaimed and award-winning comedy/documentary, "We're Funny That Way," shown regularly on HBO, Karen was also a nominee for the 1999 GLAMA Award for her outrageously funny comedy CD, "human beings: what a concept" (Uproar Records).

As a mainstage comic at the Just For Laughs Comedy Festival in Montreal, she was introduced by television host Jon Stewart as "Professor Wiliams" (demo tape available). As adjunct faculty at Cleveland State University, Professor Williams taught a Senior Seminar in Stand-Up Comedy.

Currently, Karen is featured bimonthly on the local Fox 8 Morning Show segment, "Unplugged," while she aspires to host her own television talk show.

Comedy writer and former television host of the New York variety show, "In The Life," Williams' humor writings appear in numerous anthologies, including "Joke Stew" (Andrews McMeel Publishing); Revolutionary Laughter" (Crossing Press); "Out in All Directions" (Warner Books); and "Out, Loud & Laughing" (Random House).

As founder of HaHA Institute in Cleveland, Ohio, Karen Williams presents humor-related workshops, seminars, and keynotes for corporations, colleges, federal agencies, state departments of health, social service and non-profit organizations.
