Even though Stephanie Adams is the first playmate and the second model in the industry to come "out" as a lesbian (the first was supermodel Gia Carangi), she is more than just a Playboy Centerfold. Stephanie has recently embarked upon a New World and become a published author. Her books are primarily based upon astrology, new age, spirituality and metaphysics, and are scheduled to come out in major bookstores worldwide by the end of August 2003, with additional books scheduled to come out in 2004.

Before she became a playmate, Stephanie had a family history unlike that of any other Playboy Playmate in history. She is a direct descendant from two American Presidents (John Adams and John Quincy Adams).

John Adams (the second President of the United States of America) and John Quincy Adams (the sixth President of the United States of America) were two outstanding forefathers who gave all of their children (including those who were born out of wedlock) their last name and ownership of land. That (along with the fact that Stephanie Adams is part Cherokee Indian) explains why Stephanie comes from a family that owns over 4000 acres of land in various parts of the United States of America.

Stephanie is a Leo, born July 24, 1970. She is an exotic mix of West Indian, Cherokee Indian, English, Welsh, Italian and Egyptian. Being born a Protestant, she went to (Catholic) private schools and later converted to Catholicism. Upon her adolescence, she embarked upon a journey of understanding the plethora of religions within her family history and now encompasses an eclectic combination of all of them through her successful company known as GODDESSY.

Stephanie does not need a famous ancestor or good genes to make her mark in the world. She boasts a high level of intelligence to match her stunningly beautiful looks. At the age of 16, Stephanie graduated from high school and started modeling. By the time she entered College, she was signed with Wilhelmina modeling agency in New York City and was later recruited by the prestigious Elite modeling agency owner (and ex-boyfriend) John Casablancas. In spite of a vigorous agenda and successful modeling career, Stephanie managed to obtain a Bachelor of Science (having majored in Business Management and Marketing) 4 years later. At that point, she was ready for the world...

Stephanie took charge beyond that of her modeling agents, and found herself opening her own doors to several fashion magazines, beauty advertising companies, swimwear poster campaigns, and more. Her love for the arts (painting, drawing, playing the piano, etc.) and desire to pursue a career in business, had to be put on hold due to her demand in the modeling industry. At some point Stephanie sent a few of her photos to Playboy for fun. She always admired the beautiful and artistic qualities of Playboy photography and viewed posing in Playboy as "every bad girl's dream and every good girl's fantasy".

Playboy received Stephanie's photos and took her very seriously. Because Stephanie's extremely conservative upbringing was deeply instilled within her, she felt that if she was ever contacted by Playboy, she would only consider doing a lingerie or swimsuit feature with them. Playboy executives were constantly contacting Stephanie to consider posing as a centerfold in Playboy magazine. Stephanie accepted the invitation to appear at the Playboy Mansion, but later declined to appear in the magazine.

Stephanie realized what an honor it would be to pose in a magazine and bear a title that only glamorous starlets, supermodels and sex symbols can. With the encouragement of her two Aunts who raised her (Joyce was a runway model and cover girl for Wella in the 60s and Pearl had the charm, elegance and grace like that of Jackie Kennedy), Stephanie decided to make history on her own by becoming a playmate. Millions of people are so happy that she did...

Stephanie was immediately flown to the Playboy offices and her centerfold photos commenced. She was soon pampered and spoiled by the most famous photographers in the world and later pampered and spoiled by the most famous men in the world (including her ex-husband who is a well-known Italian Investment Banker). Success (and breaking hearts) was imminent, but fame and fortune never went to her head. Stephanie has remained a very private and elusive playmate unlike any other ever. Her aloof manner, her magical charm and her unique family history is why her photos, magazine issues and appearances are in such great demand.

In spite of various modeling agencies' wishes for her to continue, Stephanie retired from modeling, is currently an avid investor in Fortune 500 companies and dedicates most of her time pursuing philanthropic endeavors (when she is not traveling to Europe and the Caribbean).
