ARISE Magazine Media Sponsor for

NBLC 2003 Conference

ZUNA INSTITUTE, OAKLAND, CA (10/12/2002) Zuna Institute announces Sacramento based Arise Communications, Inc. as Media Sponsors.

Zuna Institute welcomes Arise Communications onboard as our official media sponsor for the NBLC 2003 April 11-13 2003 held in Los Angeles, CA.  Zuna’s ad will appear in the November issue of Arise Magazine officially kicking off the NBLC 2003 Conference and giving attendees the information needed to register early for the conference.

Arise Magazine was launched 2 years ago by MacArthur Flournoy and his partner Glenn Alexander.  Arise Magazine was born out of a need to challenge us to reexamine what we think we know, and to raise the stakes a little higher and pursue a dream that almost seems beyond our reach, much like Zuna Institute.  Francine Ramsey, Executive Director of Zuna Institute said,  “Arise was the logical choice as our media sponsors.  They are the premier magazine of African descent dedicated to the overall well being of their readers, which are the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and same-gender-loving community. Glenn and MacArthur understand the need to bridge the gap between our gay brothers and sisters.

Arise Magazine will host the Friday night reception at the Radisson Hotel giving attendees the opportunity to network and experience what promises to be an exciting and informative conference.
