The Dallas Black Pride committee has made a promise to the community of color in the Dallas/Ft. Worth Metropolitan to do more than just host a one weekend event. We will be hosting several events and functions throughout the year. Our mission is to support the social events of affiliate organizations, support activities that provide economic empowerment for our community, and provide funding and support for organizations that are addressing health and other issues adversely affecting our community. We plan to accomplish this task by sponsoring various fund raisers and town hall meetings to allow you to tell us what you would like to see happening within the Dallas/Fort Worth metropolitan area. Pride of Mississippi, Inc. (POMI) is pleased to invite organizations to submit their literature and information that is geared toward minority communities. Information will be distributed during our 2nd Annual Mississippi Black Pride celebration Oct. 7–10th. Our events are targeting minority lgbt communities and our topic focuses are healthcare and social justice & awareness issues.
